Chris Horsey

Chris Horsey has a sense of humour and an eye for movement. He has developed these skills through his years working in (and on) film, television and stage. From movement guidance for veteran American talk show host, Regis Philbin, to dance instruction for super-model Cindy Crawford, Chris works best as a dance/movement ‘councilor’ in the film and entertainment industries.

“It is my opinion that dance steps are not always appropriate for dance based projects, so a movement negotiation is necessary.” 

Chris has worked as a movement consultant in the entertainment industry and as a stand alone choreographer and dance co-ordinator for television (Changi ABCTV) and TVC’s (Cadbury’s Favourites, Diet Coke, etc).

His work on ‘Jive Junky’s’ in 2000 earned him a ‘Pick Of The Fringe Award’ at Edinburgh Festival and his collaboration on a short dance film, ‘Oi’, took out ‘Best Short Dance Film’ in Strasbourg. Chris also worked with Paul McDermott as choreographer for his Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival tours, on the musical comedy stage, ‘High Society’ for The Production Company and most recently ‘Karaoke – The Musical’, starring John Paul Young.

An accomplished artist himself, Chris has performed on the West End, (Queens Theatre), guest artist at The Olivier Awards (London Palladium) and on television in UK and USA and Canada. His performance on Broadway at Union Square Theatre earned him a Village Voice ‘Obie Award’.
