Gavin Brightwell

Gavin is a Music Theatre graduate from the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Music (Music Theatre). During school and community theatre days, Gavin starred in ‘Les Miserable’, ‘Guys and Dolls’, Jon English’s ‘Paris’, ‘Back to the 80’s’ (WTC) and ‘High School Musical 2’ (CMS). Recently, Gavin has also starred as Peter Kingsley and a member of the Angel City Four in ‘City of Angels’ (AIM) directed by Jennifer Murphy, and as Judge Turpin in ‘Sweeney Todd’ (AIM) directed by Stuart Maunder.
Other performance credits include; ‘BEN HUR’: The Stadium Spectacular at ANZ Stadium (StadeFrance, AG Productions), Tenor Soloist with Indigenous Soprano Deborah Cheetham at the State Theatre, Backing Vocalist at Hats Off 2011 and Light the Night Concert 2011. He has also worked as a vocalist for The Premiers Gala Concert 2012 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
In 2011 and 2012, Gavin performed as a soloist and with colleagues at the Opera and Arts Support Group Gala Dinner in Sydney. He travelled to Canberra to sing the National Anthem at the televised W-League Grand Final at McKellar Park Stadium. He also has been Narrator for Snow White: A Children’s Pantomime (Australian Global Entertainment). Gavin hopes to continue his presence in the Australian Music Theatre scene and keep rising to bigger and better places.
