Jesse Layt

Jesse is a Sydney based singer, actor and musician, who last year graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a Diploma of Musical Theatre. He has a diverse musical background, with immense choral experience and a passion for saxophone and piano. He is also undertaking private operatic training.
Whilst at NIDA, Jesse appeared as an ensemble member in Sydney Theatre Company’s production of Chimerica, directed by Artistic Director Kip Williams. He also collaborated with NIDA’s MFA Directors on a cabaret performance celebrating the work of Irving Berlin.
Following his graduation, Jesse appeared as Tyler in Little Triangle’s production of Merrily We Roll Along (Depot Theatre, Alexander Andrews). He was recently involved in Sydney Fringe Festival, performing both as Alpha in Mars: An Interplanetary Cabaret (Andrew McInnes) and as a featured artist in A Little Cabaret (Little Triangle, Alexander Andrews).
On film, Jesse has appeared as Eric in On Silent (Romy Silver), and as Isaac in Cherry (Claudia Bailey), which made its debut at Revelation Perth International Film Festival earlier this year.
