Trisha Crowe

Trisha began her love for the stage from the age of 4. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Hons), studying voice with world renowned opera diva Rita Hunter CBE, a Bachelor of Arts (Performance) and she is an accomplished dancer, specialising in ballet, contemporary dance and choreography. Trisha has performed in a variety of musical, dramatic and dance related productions including Masterpiece – The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber which was performed for the president of China in the prestigious Great Hall of the People, Beijing and Shanghai; Cameron Macintosh’s Oliver! Australia and Asia; and shortly afterwards, under the direction of Gale Edwards, she created a lead role for the Australian musical, Eureka! After several workshops her character of Bridie O’Malley was critically acclaimed.

A desire to further her career in theatre led Trisha to work in the vibrant London scene where she was fortunate to join a cast of esteemed British actors at Regent’s Park. She performed in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and another of his plays, the relatively unknown work, Cymbeline. Drawing on her singing skills, she performed in an adaptation of the operetta HMS Pinafore by Gilbert and Sullivan, which was a popular addition to the Regent’s Park Summer Season.

Since returning to Australia Trisha has appeared as Yvonne/Naomi Eisen in Sunday in the Park with George; and as Kathy in the recent production of the Stephen Sondheim musical, Company. During the season of Company the cast performed for Stephen Sondheim and were fortunate to meet with this legendary Broadway composer.

Trisha’s solo concert appearances include Showstoppers with the Sydney Symphony; Broadway Showstoppers with the Tasmanian Symphony; Darling Harbour Winter Concert Series; Riverside Theatre’s 20th Gala Anniversary Concert; and recently with the Orange Symphony in the Belgravia vineyards.

Trisha has been involved with music therapy programs and charity concerts including Hat’s Off (Equity Fights AIDS) Light the Night (The Leukaemia Foundation) and last year, together with the Sydney Symphony and the MBF Music 4Health programme, she had the privilege of creating and performing a concert for the Westmead Children’s Hospital.

In May 2008 Trisha performed solo with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Opera House reviewer, Stephen Downie describing her performance as “jaw dropping”. She has since performed in concert for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and sung the French National Anthem to a world-wide audience for the Rugby League World Cup.
