Kathleen Moore
Kathleen hails from Winnipeg, Canada but has called Australia home for the last 8 years.
Kathleen has an honours degree in Theatre and Music and has continued studies in Opera and Classical Voice at the University of Toronto, Canada. Professional Canadian stage works include Page in ‘Seesaw’; Clarice/ Brigella in ‘ Servant of Two Masters’ (Toronto, Canada); Phyllis in Gilbert and Sullivan’s ‘Iolanthe’ (Winnipeg); Minerva in ‘Orfeus and the Underworld’ (Edmonton); and Premier Fée in Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra’s Tribute to Shakespeare.
In Australia, Kathleen appeared in the Really Useful Company’s Australasian tour of Phantom of the Opera 2007-2009 playing the roles of Confidante/Wardrobe Mistress. In 2008, she had the great privilege of playing the role of Clara in ‘The Light in the Piazza’, Lyric Theatre, Sydney. In 2010, Kathleen fulfilled a dream of singing at the Sydney Opera House, when she made her debut with Opera Australia in their most recent production of ‘Pirates of Penzance’, understudying the role of Edith. In 2011, the new Musical ‘Dr. Zhivago’ debuted in Australia. Kathleen played the role of Yelenka and understudied the leading role of Lara.
Kathleen returned to Phantom of the Opera in 2012 to present, this time touring to Asia with the International Cast of Phantom, where she understudies the role of Mme Giry.
