Samuel Armstrong
Samuel completed his Bachelor in Performing Arts at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic arts in Christchurch, New Zealand before making the move to Australia in 2012.
In July this year Samuel plays the lead role of Danny in the NZ production of Grease.
During his studies he was featured as Harold Hill in The Music Man, Alonso in Cats, Gaston in Beauty and the Beast and King Henry in Anne Boleyn (Play).
In New Zealand Samuel regularly worked on the long running children’s television program What Now and was well know for his work in the popular corporate group Off Broadway. In 2012 Samuel performed as a soloist in the televised Coca Cola Christmas in the Park. His experience also extended to various commercials and work in the feature film Yogi Bear 3D.
Since moving to Australia Samuel’s most notable work has been working internationally with the vocal group The Aussie Boys, touring New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Europe. He has performed on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Regent Cruises and Oceania Cruises. In 2014 The Aussie Boys produced their own successful show at The Palms at Crown Casino in Melbourne. Samuel also performed with Kylie Minogue in her video clip for ‘I Was Gonna Cancel’ and at her subsequent 2014 Logie Awards performance.
In 2015 Samuel set up his business Smart Arts Entertainment, producing various acts working in the cruise liner and corporate sectors.
