Ben Clark

Ben Clark, a VCA Music Theatre alum, was most recently seen on The Voice (2018). After turning all four of the judges’ chairs in his blind audition, Ben chose Delta Goodrem as his mentor. Throughout the show Ben tackled some of the biggest classical and musical theatre songs: This is the Moment, Bring Him Home, Come What May, The Prayer, Nessun Dorma, Caruso and I Wanna Know What Love Is. Ben was Delta Goodrem’s last remaining contestant, ultimately finishing 5th overall.

Ben’s professional credits include a six year stint touring the world with international touring group The Ten Tenors, performing on some of the biggest stages in the country (Melbourne Cup – National Anthem, Carols By Candlelight and Carols In The Domain etc) and gaining valuable stage time experience while touring the world with this internationally recognised group. Taking a brief hiatus in 2012, Ben secured the role of Prince Tamino in Opera Australia’s, Oz Opera tour of The Magic Flute (directed by Cameron Menzies). In 2013 Ben returned to The Ten Tenors for one final tour performing for Oprah Winfrey on her Oprah’s Aussie Adventure show, which was a particular highlight. In 2015 Ben was cast in a featured ensemble role in the Victorian Opera season of Sweeney Todd (directed by Stuart Maunder) which received 6 Helpmann Award nominations. The cast of Sweeney were asked to reprise Attend the Tale of Sweeney Todd at that year’s Helpmann Awards.

As a soloist Ben was featured during the 2017 Ashes Series, performing You’re The Voice on Boxing Day at a capacity MCG crowd. In 2016 Ben performed the Australian National Anthem before the Danny Green v Kane Watts World Title fight at Hisense Arena in Melbourne. Ben has also had the great privilege of performing with Marina Prior at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
